When Beth walked into that restaurant over four years ago, she had no idea she was having dinner with her future husband, but God has bigger and greater plans than any of us could ever dream up. Sometimes the most beautiful things are unplanned and happen when you least expect it.
Oh Social Media! Isn't it incredible how it brings so many lovely people together!? One night, Dalton came across this beautiful lady, Elizabeth. They were "friends" on Facebook due to going to the same high school together. However, Elizabeth never knew Dalton. He sent her a simple little message that opened up a month long of conversations online. They finally set up a date that lasted beyond the hours of the Mexican restaurant! They couldn't stop talking and laughing! They knew they had something special! About three years later, at an over the top birthday party for Dalton's dad, Dalton grabs the mic to give a speech to his father. At the end of his speech, in front of about 50 of their closest friends and family, he walks over to his love, drops to one knee and asks her to marry him! Elizabeth couldn't say YES fast enough!!!
Photographing these two was such a pleasure! Their giggles and love were just so natural and beautiful! I can't wait to photograph their Indian Springs wedding in November 2018!
When Kaylyn, the event coordinator of The Mill at Yellow River, asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was beyond honored!!! Her and I have worked together on several beautiful weddings at The Mill and getting to photograph her marry her love, Brett, meant the world to me. Brett and Kaylyn have incredible families and they made us feel so welcomed. When I was photographing Brett, before their first look, he was asking about Kaylyn. The smile on his face was from ear to ear when I told him just how stunning she looked. The love!!!
Now, the decor! Todd + Jakob, owners of The Mill at Yellow River and Beyond Details, really went above and beyond to make Kaylyn and Brett's day stand out above all! Kaylyn and her mother both work with Jakob and Todd and you can just feel the love these folks have for one another.
There were so many special moments! During their ceremony, just before they were pronounced husband and wife, the sky let out the sweetest little fluffy white puffs. I have no idea what they were, but you will see them in the photographs. It gave me chills and the guests looked amazed too!
To end the night, Brett, Kaylyn and all their guests formed a circle with arms around each other and they all sang and swayed side to side before heading out to send them off.
Kaylyn and Brett, thank you two from the bottom of my heart for having Arlissa and I as your wedding photographers and allowing us to be such a big part of your special day! I wish you two the best!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Allie + Shane for just over a year now. I met Allie while photographing her friend, my neighbor, Cailey during her maternity boudoir session. We three (well FOUR! Can't forget baby girl Brooklyn in her mama's belly!) had so much fun that day! A couple of weeks later, Allie asked me if I would be her and Shane's wedding photographer. . .I was very excited to accept! Then I met Shane and learned more about their love story. These two and the love they have for one another is incredible. I've had so much fun getting to know them and helping them with their wedding photography. Allie + Shane's wedding day was beyond fabulous! The 1920's glamorous theme can be found in all the little details. From the invitations to the sparkly headpieces her ladies adorned. The team that Allie + Shane assembled, rocked their talents! Several of their vendors are also their friends and that made it so much more special. AND, isn't Allie's grown to die for?! Lazaro, the designer himself drew up a sketch of Allie in this gown! How awesome!
Congratulations Allie + Shane!
