Oh, you guys! I absotley love Beth and Cory! I knew when I met Beth a few weeks ago for our consultation, that I was going to really like Cory too! I want to share their sweet love story and show you how much fun we had for their engagement session in Porterdale!

Beth and Cory met in December 2014.  They had been talking for a while but hadn’t met in person until one day while Beth was driving down the road. Cory knew Beth was going to be close to his area so he called her and asked her to meet him for dinner that VERY evening. Whoa! Beth was in sweats, a hat, and no makeup, and totally not dressed for a first date! Luckily, Cory was very persuasive and convinced her that they both needed dinner, so they might as well get it together!! They ended up sitting at the restaurant talking and laughing for hours. Cory asked her to dinner the next night, and they had a great time again, sharing stories and laughing so much!

About a week later Beth ended up with the flu, and it was absolutely terrible to not be able to see him!  He was so sweet and took great care of her during that time. He even helped her finish up her Christmas shopping because she wasn’t able to do it! How sweet is he?! She knew right away what a great guy he was and luckily, she recovered before Christmas and that allowed them to spend some of Christmas Day together. Cory took Beth to Lake Lanier to see the Christmas lights and they rode the "snow" slides.  It's still one of her most favorite memories, and she was so glad they got their first picture together at the top of the biggest slide in those crazy looking helmets.

On October 27th 2018, Cory planned a surprise day date for them. They started the day with breakfast, and then drove up towards the mountains. They ended up at Tate City, which is one of their favorite spots and a special place for Cory's family. Beth explained that the dirt mountain road winds around a gorgeous river with huge boulders and waterfalls all along the way. It sounds like it’s just gorgeous! They got out to admire the view and Cory got down on one knee and asked Beth to marry him! She was so excited and said YES!

From the beginning, they just knew they enjoyed being together, and even through the tough times, they keep each other laughing and know that they would rather fight their battles together than be apart. When Beth walked into that restaurant over four years ago, she had no idea she was having dinner with her future husband, but God has bigger and greater plans than any of us could ever dream up.  Sometimes the most beautiful things are unplanned and happen when you least expect it.

Their Starrsville Plantation wedding day is coming together beautifully and they can’t wait to share their day in May with their family and friends!!
