MichaelAnn's Newborn Session | Social Circle, Ga.

Isn’t she so perfect, with the cutest little noggin! I just love her profile.

I’ve known Liz, MichaelAnn and Ella’s mom, for about two years now from church and our weekly bible studies over those years and all of the events we do together. I remember, before Ella started school, she would always come to bible study in the mornings with her mom. As soon as they walked through the door, Ella would belt out in her sweet, tiny but big voice, “Hello! I’m here!!” No matter what we were all doing and no matter how invested we were in conversation with one another, we all would turn to Ella and give that sweet baby the warm welcome she commanded from our massive study group. She is so very precious! And, such a sweet big sister, too!

I asked Liz how they came up with MK’s unique name. Michael is her husband, Austin and his dad’s middle name, Ann is Liz’s middle name and Kelli is Liz’s dad’s name. It’s a beautiful mixture of their loved one’s names.

That last photo! Oh, MK is the snuggliest baby girl! While I was rocking her to sleep, Liz snagged that photo of me loving on MK. Thank you Liz! I am so grateful to get to capture moments like these for my close friends!

Harrison's Family Newborn Session | Social Circle, Ga.

These babies are SO perfect and it’s been the best day evah! My great niece and nephew, HattieMae and Harrison - I am completely in love with them and was so very excited to have their family over to break in my brand new studio space! My niece, Haley, even came over and shot with me for the first time! She is learning the art of photography and it’s been so much fun reconnecting with her!

Harrison was born the day before Thanksgiving! Not what his momma and daddy, Jason and Shanna, had planned! But, what a beautiful surprise and just one more blessing to be thankful for at such a special holiday. One month later and we finally got to do his “newborn” session. Oh gosh. I felt so terrible not getting to do his session sooner. Most newborn sessions are done with the first two weeks of their new life. However, throughout the course of those three weeks someone in my family has been sick or recovering from sickness. Everyone but me! Somehow I was able to completely miss all the sickness - thank you Lord! So finally, here we are after Christmas and now he’s 10lbs 9 ounces!!! He’s such a big boy! And once we finally got him good and milk drunk, Harrison sleep right through his “newborn” session like a champ!!

Now let’s throw is back 22 years! When Trey and I were dating, I remember on Halloween evening, while I was dressed up like an angel and Trey was dressed up like a devil - red face paint and all!, Trey’s sister, Shalayne, came home from the hospital with Jason and that was the day I held him for the very first time. He slept in my arms while we sat on their couch and we loved on him. Now, I’m holding and loving on his babies! Life is so beautiful!

Here we are at the end of spring and I am finally finishing up these sessions. It’s been so much fun re-creating this set for my families and seeing all their babies enjoy it! McClane, the sweet little girl in the pink tutu dress, couldn’t wait to get her hands on Silas the bunny boy!! She loved him and did so, so good during our session together!

Thank you guys so much for allowing me to photograph this time in your life this spring! It’s been such a pleasure laughing and being silly with you and your babies!

Oh, my family! The first family is my nephew Jason and my niece, his girlfriend, Shanna and their baby girl HaddieMae! They are such a precious family! It turns our during their session HaddieMae had an ear infection. Poor baby, we could tell something wasn’t quite right that day but had no idea it was an ear infection. We got a few smiles from her! Although her parents had to work extra hard for those by jumping around, singing, tickling her!! You name it, these guys did it!! They both get gold stars because they had to be exhausted after this!! :)

The next family is my brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Kristi, with their beautiful children, Karli, Kendyl, Kayson and Kynzi. I cannot believe how big and grown up their babes have gotten! They are all beautiful inside and out!

Spring Break 2021 | Pensacola Beach, Fl.

Social_Circle_Ga_Photographers_Pensacola_Beach_Fl_0001.jpg

We sure did need this week off! However, just three days into our spring break vacation and I was ready to come home! Ugh! My anxiety has been a little high this week. There have been some strange things (multiple things!) going on in our small town that just have me on edge. Even though I’m surely safer away from it all, I just wanted to be home in our comfort zone with our animals!

However, I swear we had a great time despite all this!

RyAnne and I got to go kayaking in the Gulf! This was so much fun and helped take my mind off things! Relaxing for me, stressful for RyAnne. My goodness, that girl was freaking out! We made it over the breakers like champs, without tipping our kayak over, but once we got on the calm water she couldn’t chill. I got to the point where I just had to tell her to stop paddling and stop talking - just breath it all in! lol I always long to be near water, on the water, in the water. It helps me clear my mind and gets me back grounded. With the water rushing around me all I do is talk to Jesus and just pray. That is where I find my peace.

Some of our fave new restruants we tried out this time around were:
Peg Leg Pete’s - their strawberry margs are the BOMB and I loved the fried shrimp po’ boy. We went back the next night for dinner again because it was just so good. The service was excellent too! That night I had the snow crab legs - BEST on the island!! We have tried other places and seriously, these were the best!
Cafe Nola - we went there for dessert. The kids got Italian Ice’s and Trey and I go the Chocolate Layer Mousse Cake. Holy moly. We will most definitely try out their dinner menu next time we visit Pensacola Beach!

When we visit Pensacola Beach we always stay at The Holiday Inn Resort. At the resort there is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and that makes it easy to enjoy the beach and then walk right back over to have a meal. We hardly leave the resort! It’s a very family friendly place! They had a pirate there on days that it wasn’t raining. He would entertain the kids with sword fights and fun activities!

Our last day on the island we headed to the public beach, which is actually very private, for family photographs. We found this beautiful spot surrounded by dunes and sea grass. I wish I could be a beach photographer!!! Seriously, the sand, ocean and open sky just makes everything so beautiful! Some of my fave family photographs are in the sand!

I’m so thankful we had this opportunity to sneak away and enjoy some uninterrupted time together as a family! I sure do love these people!
